ALBUQUERQUE, N.M. (KRQE) – Albuquerque students are giving back to local pets this holiday season.
Grants Middle School collected dozens of comfort gifts this year through ‘Operation Silent Night’.
Thursday, students and staff made a trip to Animal Welfare’s Eastside shelter to deliver the gifts.
The school says they simply wanted to help the pets.
“As middle school students, it’s really important for them to care about others, care about other people and when we instill at this age, it just promotes that spirit of volunteerism,” said Paul Roney, principal of Grant Middle School.
