Raw Milk is a health promoting addition to your pet’s diet – Truth about Pet Food

So why are regulatory authorities stopping the sale of raw milk pet products?

This past Saturday a very unique event was held in Branchburg, New Jersey. The event was called Pet Food Justice, developed as sort of a protest to the recent illegal actions taken by the state of New Jersey preventing the sale of raw milk for pets.

Before we consider the concerning actions taken by multiple states against the sale of raw milk for pets, below are the proven safety and the proven health benefits of raw milk borrowed from the Weston A. Price Foundation’s RealMilk.com website. To view the entire slide presentation, Click Here.

To respond to the question of is raw milk/unpasteurized milk safe?…

Raw milk contains natural defenses against pathogenic bacteria, Lactoperoxidase and Lactoferrin:

And pathogen control has been tested with raw milk, again and again…

And the health benefits of raw milk have been documented for decades.

And a very interesting aspect of raw milk is the easy digestion.

The above is just a tiny portion of the science proving the safety and health benefits of raw milk. For more information on raw milk, visit:

Despite all of the above (and so much more) scientific evidence to the safety and health benefits of raw milk, in most states raw milk is illegal to purchase for human consumption. Despite all of the above, New Jersey still has in place a raw milk pet product Stop Distribution order to multiple pet food distributors even though raw milk pet products are allowed through commercial feed laws. New Jersey pet owners can send an email of protest or call to share their concern:
Alan Talarsky
609-826-4935
alan.talarsky@doh.nj.gov

Please ask Mr. Talarsky to rescind the stop distribution order issued by the New Jersey Health Department for raw milk pet products.

And we have recently learned other states are taking similar actions against raw milk pet products as in New Jersey. More details will be provided when more is learned. But to the current understanding of the issue, another state is applying human food law to one single pet product – raw milk. We believe that just like in New Jersey, at least one and possibly another state is ignoring the commercial feed laws of their state and applying human food laws to ban the sale of raw milk pet products. Picking and choosing what laws they enforce and when they enforce.

Pet owners in all other states are encouraged to tell their own State Department of Agriculture they want raw milk pet products to continue to be available in their state. Please speak up on this issue – don’t wait until a problem arises as it did in New Jersey. Tell your state authorities you want to continue to have access to raw milk for your pets.
